Calcium Citrate

Hi all,

Curious to know what others in Winnipeg are using for their calcium citrate supplement: which brand, chewable or not, how many tablets per package, best place to buy locally, cost etc.

I hear Costco is good and carries Wellie's(?) brand but I don't have a membership. (not needed for Rx's but I understand needed for over the counter meds)

I go thru this stuff like candy.

Thanks, Mike

I take the liquid calcium (Wellesse) 1000 mcg per teaspoon so I take  (2 of these twice a day) or 2000 mcg twice a day. I actually found some on sale at Rexall and I stocked up.

I buy mine at costco, the wellesse brand and take a tbsp twice a day.  There are 2 1 liter bottles for about 17$ for the 2.  If you need I can pick up next time I am there.  kj

Thanks  Kim, if you wouldn't mind. I'd like to try it.

I take the liquid as well.  It isn't horrible tasting so thats an added bonus.  :)

Hi Mike,

I have bought the Wellese liquid from Costco.  I prefer the chewable I buy from Vitacost online. The chewable are made by TwinLabs Bariatric brand. I don't really mind the taste. I figure I have to take them regardless so down the hatch it goes!
