Hello my bariatric family,

I just wanted to write this message for everyone.

I know Christmas can be stressful for anyone but with the added stress of having or going through wls it can be rough so i want to give you some words of encouragement.

you can get through this.look at everything you have done to get this far.It does get better for those struggling with issues. If this is your first Christmas post op.remember the guidelines for life after surgery.dont beat your self up if you stray a little we are only human and its Christmas all i ask is that you do everything in moderation.

Only you know your body and what you can or cant have.if you choose to have sweets only have a little bit to satisfy your craving so that you don't all of a sudden binge and get sick.

If you feel overwhelmed at all the food that family has put out take a step back and breathe.....and tell your self that you can do this.Christmas is one of the hardest holidays to deal with as a post op patient or anyone on the journey.

Something that i do personally is supply a treat that we can have and have it on hand for gatherings so that you do not feel left out. Also remember small portions when having your Christmas dinner as you do not want to be sick while everyone else is enjoying the gathering.

If you feel overwhelmed and need to talk i am here and am willing to help you

p.s i still do not regret what i have been through even with my current problems.

ALSO  MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE ENJOY YOUR NEW BODY AND JOURNEY INTO 2014

I'm curious after reading this post Sondra. You wrote all i ask is that you do everything in moderation. Are you associated with the clinic or a medical associate?  I would love to get some advise from you if you are.  It would be much easier than calling the clinic and leaving messages on the machine,

Okay thanks for the honesty.
And thank you for the offer but I prefer to get my advise and information from a educated/lienced health care provider.

Merry Christmas to all past and present WLS clients! Keep your heads held high! Having surgery in May and now 80 pounds down makes this one of the best years of my life! Looking forward to continuing this journey in 2014 and beyond!

Merry Christmas everyone I hope you are having a wonderful day!  I think that Sondra and many others on this forum have lots of information to pass along; experience speaks volumes. I am firm believer of more knowledge give me my best chance at success. I have read many posts of the VSG forum along with this one that were not written by professionals but rather professionals that live this journey daily and many have great information to offer. Myself I take the information that I need and leave the rest.

I credit these people to my sucess to date and cherish everyone of their posts even the ones I don't agree with ;-).

Dr Ponce de Leon Mexico     VSG 4 Jun 12. I lost 57 lbs on my own before having a VSG. This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself.
