had my surgeon appt.

So how long do you have to wait for Andrea to call back and give me a surgery date?  I met with Dr, Vergis friday and he said all was good to go see Andrea. I did but she said she would call me. Everyone else have that as well and how long?

congrats on seeing Vergis.As for when you will get call from Andrea it can very.I know people who are still waiting for call from her to book surgery and they saw surgeons 2-4 mths ago.There is no rhyme or reasoning to how they decide when you are going to have surgery.The only thing i can suggest is to let them know that you are ready to go  on short notice .

After I saw Dr. Vergis, he said I would be hearing from them about a date.  Two weeks went by and no letter so I decided to call her and she booked a surgery date with me over the phone.  I am sure she is very busy and I didn't want to fall through the cracks and wait any longer.  I am glad I made the call because she scheduled me for surgery within three weeks.  That was February, 2013.

I finally got a date! January 8th. Almost there to be sitting on the loser bench!

Congratulations Melissa. It is good to hear how smoothly this process can go for people as well.  I wish you well and hope by this year next time I can join you on that loser bench :)
