I'm thinking of bringing a few things too... peanut butter protein balls and pb protein cookies... maybe a small veggie tray.

For me Sondra , the protein cheesecake totally appeals to me... looks amazing

Could everyone please bring recipes to this meet and greet for the newbies? That would be much appreciated.

where can i find recipes that are easy to make with protein? and what protein tastes good? I have tried a couple of different ones and I don't like the flavor.  I had a booster juice a couple of weeks ago, one with protein in it, and that was all i could taste  ick..

trish,

www.bariatricfoodie.com,www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com are 2 very good websites for reciepes for us.

as for the protien  dont worry about it now.our tastes change after surgery.powders that i liked pre op were disgusting after.if you go to popeyes they will let you taste samples before you buy anything.

my favorite is click proitien powder.i order mine from the states and get it delivered to pembina nd and i run across to get it.i live closer to pembina than winnipeg.

my reciepes use click or unflavored powder.

Sondra, just wondering now that you are at your goal weight how much protein you eat a day? Is it pAtient dependent? Who who determin what your protein counts are? I am 4 months post op and s told to eat 65 - 70 grams a day and I don't use any powders at all. I eat about 1050 - 1100 calories a day and bike ride about 5 times a week. I notice many people use powders! Should I be incorporating them into my daily foods? I eat a lot of Greek yogurt which I love. I know nothing is carved in stone, but some opinions would be helpful. See you this Saturday.
