update on what a year has done.
I saw Dr Hardy today for my 1 year follows since my VSG. My BMI is now 24.5. Which makes my weight NOW NORMAL... I still can't believe it and still can't believe I am no longer considered overweight BUT Normal weight. This is the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I have EVER been a normal weight so it is hard to get my head around this. I still Feel Fat, but so many people have told me I am so small now...I don't see it unless I put pictures side by side. OR when I try on a pair of jeans I used to wear...then I can't believe that I was ever a size 24..I am now in a size 10. I don't EVER remember wearing a size 10. Even as a kid in junior school I was at least a size 16. I feel so much better...way less aches and pains and no longer on a meds., off the high blood pressure pills, high cholesterol pills and no longer have to use my sleep apnea machine. What a difference . I am half the size as I was 5 years ago..highest weight 250, too fat for surgery, now 135 and 24.5 BMI. I will be forever great full for this surgery BUT also for all the GREAT friends I made on this website., ND AT THE MEET AND GREETS..THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT OVER THE PAST YEAR. BARB C.

That's great Barb!  Wonderful to hear.  You have been an inspiration to me since I met you!  I can't wait to be NORMAL weight.  I have never been average either, even at birth I was over 9 lbs!  Congratulations on your achievement!

Congratulations Barb! You have done so well! It must be a wonderful feeling to be at your goal weight and be normal. I am waiting for my turn to experience it all. Glad we have people like you to provide support and answer questions to all us newbies.

That's awesome! I only met you at one M&G way back in November and you looked small then. Yay for you!
