VIC Meeting

Well, only 6 people showed up for tonight's education class. I sure hope they don't end up canceling them due to lack of interest as I think it was an important and necessary step that these classes to be added to the Bariatric program. We need to support the future of the Bariatric program and those still awaiting their chance of surgery. Hopefully, more of you will sign up for the next one. Barb C

I think the topic might have had something to do with it (and some of the regulars were indisposed).  Both me and my daughter are signed up for the plastics one in June - I think there will be a great turn out for that one - I can't wait to see everyone :)

How do you find out about these meeting???

Call Amara at the Vic Bariatric Program. Leave your name, phone # and email address and tell her you want to be notified of all future Bariatric Education classes that are being held. there is one more Wednesday, June 5 th ..it may be full though as it will be quite a popular topic. Think they are the on brea****il September.

I went through all my emails from  Amara and I did not get notification of the May Pilate's Education Class.  Yesterday was the first I heard about it when I read the boards here so I went through my emails to double-check.  All I found was some info regarding upcoming sessions at the bottom of the April session email.   I was even at the clinic in the a.m. and nothing was said to me.  It seems odd that only 6 people showed up, perhaps others didn't get the email.   Has the email for the June education session been sent out yet?

I have not recd June email yet, but I know it is June 5 and is plastics. Will post when I get it so you can call amara and get put on the list. There were about 12 people on the paper which I thought was low to begin with, but only 6 of us showed. Yah, I am not sure what is going on, if people aren't being notified or what? Whoever hears first, please post to let everyone know so they can sign up.
PS.. There is only 1 more in June, and then they are on break for the summer so don't expect anymore after this one coming up. Hope to see you there. we will plan on going for coffee after too. Barb. C.

Can you attend the meetings even if you aren't in the bariatric program? My BMI is 58 so I'm not too far from meeting 55.

Pretty sure you need to be in their program 1st
