surgeries

I would be interested in hearing what surgery everyone is having, or had. I had a lap band but am getting it out.  Would like to hear from people who had gastric bypass and how they are feeling any problems etc. Please message me I need more info.

I had the RNY surgery, aka gastric bypass.  I have not had any problems and i feel great!  I don't have any problem with vomiting, but I know others have.  One of the big side effects of this surgery is getting dumping syndrom if you eat too much sugar or fat so I am very careful to read nutrition lables and not have too much of either.  that helps me stay away from old favorites like potato chips or ice cream.  I look at ice cream now and won't even taste it, i don't want the pain etc that it could cause!

If you aren't in the program yet, get your doctor to send a referal letter soon. The program has grown and the wait list is big.

i haven't had surgery yet, nor met with anyone, but i am hoping for a vertical sleeve gastrectomy. if the doctor decides not to do that, i'll have RNY.
