Woo hoo! It's happening!

My surgery is booked!!! I'm so excited!  It's been a long wait, but it's finally happening!

I haven't been to any meet & greets yet, or post too much.  I'm a bit on the shy side... so I apologize.

I've decided to help myself come out of my shell, that I am going to do a photo/video journey.  That way, I can watch my progress, see my moods etc. 

How many of you have done this?

don't feel shy with this group, come to a meet and greet!  We are people who have all been there.  I am a shy person but decided to get out of my comfort zone and go to a meet and greet.  My first one was before surgery and I was able to meet great ladies, get some clothes to shrink into, and start a social life!  I heard all kinds of surgery experiences and weight loss experiences.  It's a great experience.  The next one is at the library on Pembina near McGillvary on Apr 27 at 1:30pm.

I'm a chicken when it comes to new things.  Ya'd never guess since I'm getting this done eh?  I will have to stop in!  Do we just show up? or bring our journals? anything?

Last month was my first met and greet and everyone was very friendly. Bring something to drink and ask questions and visit! Some people bring clothes to trade/giveaway, a few people brought some nibblies. Hope to see you next month - I am hoping to come again. Trying to convince my cousin to come - she was at the orientation seminar with me yesterday.

I am doing it in Winnipeg.  It was a long wait, but I see why.  Not only because of the waiting list, but to be sure that this isn't a drastic, impulsive decision.  That you know what you are doing and how. 

Congrats TJLJ.  I rarely leave my house. but I made myself go to a meet and greet before my surgery.  Now I try not to miss them.    I hope I can go to the next one.  The meet and greets are fun, you will enjoy it.  Barb

For sure come out, we are just a bunch of people who have the same struggles and we put our pants on the same way. Ask questions or just meet and mingle, it will be awesome to meet you before your surgery - that way you will have a built in support group for whatever you might need.  Lorna
