10 months out and struggling a bit..
I am kinda upset with myself because I set a personal goal to lose 100 pounds in a year which would be the May long weekend..I have lost 70 but have not lost anything in a couple of months. I know where Im going wrong and wish that I would have the dumping syndrome if I ate sweets. Not so with this sleeve.I have almost no restriction when it comes to my 'red flag foods" doughnuts, candy, sweets of anykind. I have taken April 1 as a new beginning and am tracking my food and liquid. From what I have read on ratios, I am going to shoot for 1400 calories, 80 ounces at least of liquid, 30-40 carbs, 60-80 protein, 30 fat, take my vitamins daily and move more. For anyone else ahead of me, does this sound like I'm on the right track??

7.5 months - 70 pounds!!!
Stay away from your sweets. I know they are bad for me to and I made the mistake of having them at Christmas time and then it took a lot of hard work to get the carbs out of my system again. I go for 800 to 1000 calories a day and a min of 80 grms of protein and 40 carbs, unless it is a run day for me then I up my carbs to about 80 because I take a hammer gel before I run or I won't make the 5 K I just bomb out of energy. I also do weight training on my in between days. I drink upwards of 14 to 17 cups of liquid a day. Those are just things that I do. I am at 10 months now and have lost 103 lbs since surgery. It is getting harder though to drop the weight. I thought running would just knock it off of me, but not so. Oh on my running days I eat around 1200 but I have burned 400 calories running so I make up 200 of them. I am TeashaLorna on my fitness pal if you want to be friends. I share my food log I don't always log my exercise. I have a fitone so it uploads my calorie burn for the most part automatically.

I think that sounds right. Do NOT go below 1200 calories though. There is a good percentage of people who go through wls who end up getting an eating disorder because they keep thinking they need to go back to the very low calories to lose more. That is not the right way to do it. Your plan is much healthier and something that you can do long term. According to the dietician once you get your calories up the lowest you should go back down to is 1200. If you are exercising you should have more than 1200.
If you need assistance you can always ask your family doctor to refer you to a nutritionalist and it's covered by MB Health, they will help you make sure your goals are correct.
Think positive! At least it's almost summer and summer is usually more fresh fruit/veggies and less sweets....except ice cream :( Be strong, you can do it. They say it takes 3-4 weeks to break a habit so just concentrate on not having sweets each week and after a few weeks you won't even crave it anymore (or at least not nearly as much). Good luck!!
