Considering Mexico

I also had a VSG in Tijuana with Dr. Ariel Ortiz at the Obesity Control Centre.  Like Dianne I had no complications and it was a great experience.  

I got rejected from the MB program as well for having too high of a BMI, so I went ahead and booked Mexico.  I was also too heavy with a BMI of 51 but did lose 24 pounds pre-op doing Visalus protein drinks with fruit for one meal a day.  I didn't just do it for the two weeks, I started on it in November, surgery was in Jan.

No regrets here at all except for wishing that I had it years ago.  I'm 42 so when I did decide I wanted surgery, the wait here in MB didn't appeal to me too much.
