Need the ph # for the program here in winnipeg

Hi everyone, i havent been here for a while, partly because i get more depressed by reading about eveyrone's accomplishments and i am still the same. another, i had to get a new computer as my old one finally kicked the bucket.

Can anyone out there give me the ph# for the program here in wpg so i can check and see where I am on the list now, and is there anything new here in wpg to get help?? i havent been to my dr in a long time, as i am tire of him telling me my weight is very dangerous right now..

any info from anyone, much appreciate

Trish, if it helps any, I was put on the waiting list in Feb2011 as my BMi was too high and I had to wait. I received a letter earlier this week that I have been accepted to the program. If your date was November of 2011, then you should be coming up soon.

Sending you hugs Trish.  I get it.  I'm working through the Edmonton program but no appt with the surgeon in sight.  It's hard to see how fantastic others are doing when you want it so badly for yourself.  Hang in there.

Thank you everyone.. I called, and i was told that I am on the list. But they have to make the calls to the doctors in order of when the referals were sent. I was refered Nov 2011 and she said that right now, they are calling doctors from 2010 still. but at least there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel.. for now... it's been a long time since i have been on here, but is there anything new that i can try and start doing?? to help the process along?

might be sooner than you think Trish! My referral was Feb 2011 and Amara said they had sent paperwork to my Dr and I already have my orientation date. I hope you get a call soon!
