I'm not sure if they just changed it since coming back from Toronto or not but that was what Amara told me this morning when I was at the office.  Any new referrals may want to call to clarify.

Good job on the weight loss so far! I was at a 56 BMI but have lost enough to now qualify for the old criteria but happily they have opened the program and after waiting 2 years, I got my acceptance letter and a date for the orientation session. I hope you will be able to meet the new guidelines soon. If they have put you on a waiting list make sure you contact Amara as soon as you meet the guidelines so you can start the process.

Good luck!

Linda, if you are in Winnipeg you should come to the meet and greet on Saturday. This will be my first one and there will be ladies there who have had surgery not only in Winnipeg but elsewhere in Canada and Mexico. I am looking forward to the afternoon out hopefully sans son, unless Dad gets called into work.

I just saw your message today. Our family had an early Easter dinner yesterday. I do live in Winnipeg. I have to make sure that the place we go to is wheelchair accessible and I take handi-transit. Maybe next time.
