When did you start adding exercise to your routine post surgery (aside from walking)? And what did you do?

My Dr said no weights for three months. Walking, running, elliptical were all fine at about one month. I started weights at three months and one week :-) just to make sure. But walking, running etc at a month was good for me. It all depends on your energy levels.

I think it also depends on your pre surgery fitness.  If you were a gym rat before, it is probably easier to get back (as long as you are careful and progress gradually.  I have seen posts from crazy people who have been back at Zumba within a week of surgery and wonder why they are dizzy..... REALLY?  lol!  They totally caught hell from the other posters.   In the MB program, I had permission for anything after 6 weeks but on the flip side, they wanted me to walk for at least 30 mins a day from the first post op surg day (not all at once) and I had no prob with that.  Just take care
