Plastic Surgery - Cover or not Covered by MB Health

So what is the POOP!  Some surgeons can get it covered and some cannot? It all depends on the surgeon and what (s)he puts on the form?  (Is this true)

I have heard that Panni is covered? Arms are not, Boobs are not? Reductions are covered, what about lifts?

I have at least 25lbs of extra skin that needs to removed.

Why can't our extra skin be used for burn victims(if it has no stretch marks)?

What have you heard or encounter????

Okay here is what I have found out..Panni would be covered with extenuating cir****tances..rash, bleeding etc all documented by your doc. MB Health still has the final say as its a case by case kind of thing. The more the doctor can prove and put on the form, the better your chances. You have to have maintained the loss of 100 pounds for at least one year again documented. Arms are not covered for any reason, reductions are covered again by what your doc had documented, lifts are not covered as its cosmetic. You can get a reduced rate from most surgeons though if you are going in for a surgery covered by our Health plan, and you opt to pay for something more at the same time.

Now Im sure there are others out there who may have different information but this is from my doctor and she was totally on board with my having had the surgery and is willing to help me along the way with any plastics I may need. Hope that helps somewhat.

i saw dr vergis and he referred me to dr.islur. i saw dr islur and we discussed my problems with loose skin and sores.he filled out the paper work and sent it off.

his nurse called me and told me that i was approved for the lower lift(panni) and if i want the full tummy tuck i would have to pay the difference.

of course i said i would pay the difference as i do not want to have a second surgery for the same place.
