Pain and not sure what I should do
Thursday morning I woke up with a stiff neck so I obviously slept in a bad position. Friday I woke up, neck still sore but now have a tummy ache. I thought maybe I was coming down with something like the rest of the people in the school. Saturday I didn’t leave my couch; I napped and played Facebook games. I was also getting numb tingly fingers and toes on my left side. Still weak on Monday I headed to work and figured getting some fresh air might help. I was very wobbly on my feet. Around 1pm I started getting chest pains, achy, crushing. I came home at 3:30 and laid on the couch. The pains weren’t going away and I was dizzy and foot/hand still tingling. Around 7:30 I drove myself to the hospital. The nurse told me I should have called for EMS. Not at $400 I wouldn’t be calling. They took my right in, hooked me up to the ECG, took blood tests, etc. I stayed in the hospital for four hours. My blood pressure was elevated, 159/90 and I had a fever. My heart is perfect and the dr on call thinks maybe it is my new prescriptions, Zoloft causing the symptoms. I’ve been taking it for a couple of weeks now so I didn’t think this was the problem. I also took it before my RNY and never had issues. So the doctor on call gave me a 1mg Lorazepam to help me sleep and sent me home. I took it but I woke up all night long anyway. I called my boss in the morning and told her I wouldn’t be in. I rested all day. This evening as soon as I started to get active I got a pounding headache and my stomach hurts bad, right through to my back, just below my rib cage, through to my back and down a bit. I was thinking of trying to go to work tomorrow but now I think I need to stay home another day. Do you think it might be surgery related? Ulcer? Flu bug? Should I call Andrea tomorrow or go into St Boniface emergency? Should I wait it out, it’s probably nothing? Not sure what to do, thanks!

In my opinion you should go straight to Emergency. That doesn't sound like nothing to me. Maybe you've developed an ulcer or a hernia or maybe it's your gallbladder. I think you should get it checked out ASAP!

Thanks! I'm going to try and ride through the pain until morning now and see if I can find a ride into the city. The cost of parking if I went by myself and had to stay would be outrageous. The pain is pretty intense now and if I eat or drink it makes it worse. Maybe by morning I'll be all better. :)

Most definitely could be gallbladder..those symptoms can vary on everyone but you have most of the common ones. Hopefully you'll feel better soon, or at least get an answer to help with the worrying.
