My son's class is still in first place in their bid to win $10,000 for their lifeskills class but the school in 2nd place is catching up. Can I ask you wonderful ladies to take a moment today and everyday to vote for Portage Collegiate Institute? We are the only Canadian school in the running. Contest runs to Feb. 15th. Thank you so much. As a parent I can tell you that this money can do so much to help these awesome kids.

Thank you I was just coming to post a reminder. This morning we are back in #1 spot but there is less than a 1% difference between first and second.

Vote everyday on every internet connected device you can get your hands on! Go to  www.voteforportage.com  or use www.voteforportage.com/mobile for your phone. The school is Portage Collegiate Institute. And thank you so much for your help! I am looking forward to meeting you all soon. I am aiming for the March meet and greet since Dwayne's awards night in the same night as this month.

I wish I had that link before! Maybe I don't know if it was in your first message or not. I just sent an e-mail to my friends. Many aren't on Facebook or don't check often and may not have seen the link. Hopefully you can hold on and win!!

Tuesday we moved back into !st place with less than a 1% lead and today we are back in 2nd with the same percentage separating us from the leader.  So if you have time please vote. Voting closes midnight on Friday (or Sat, depending on how you look at it)

Hi Karen

The system still seems to be allowing people to vote (Saturday morning, Feb 16). I thought I'd check it out just out of curiosity. I voted a few more times just in case!

Dianne, it would seem the site is closed now. Thank you for all the votes! I was up at 3:30 and put in a few votes before going back to bed...

I'll let you know the results on Monday when the winner is announced!

Thank you to everyone who supported my son's school in the contest to win $10,000. Unfortunately we did not win and I am feeling very disappointed, but the school that did win is just as deserving. In fact I watched a news story about them and we have alot more for our students like computers and smartboards which were on their wish lists. My understanding was it was a very close race to the finish...
