I have my meeting with the anesthesiologist next week.  She told me that it will be 2 hours long.   I have gone for surgery a few times before and have only ever met with them for a few minutes right before the surgery.  Does anyone know what this meeting entails and why it's so long?    I love that the team focuses on safety a lot so I have no issues with the meeting but am just wondering what it is.  Does anyone know?

The meeting is to go over the history, check your progress, find out what meds you are on, weigh in again.  Talk about all the risks in surgery.  Make sure you are following the Boost diet to perfection.  I can't remember what else.  I also saw a nurse that day as part of the appointment.
