Manitoba Health Appeal Board ??

Hello,

Has anyone ever had to go to the Manitoba Health appeal board to appeal a decision made by Manitoba Health ?  I am approved for surgery in Quebec , but MB health is not willing to pay the additional physician fee's ( which are higher due to degree of difficulty and there being no fee codes existing for these higher fees).   Just wondering if anyone has any advice for dealing with the appeal board ?  I am being asked to pay $8000 for physician fee's which I cannot afford, and ultimately myself and the surgeon feel that it is discriminatory for MB health not to pay the higher physicians fees that are required.

Any tips ?

Jacqueline,  have you talked to anyone at the clinic lately?  I know the criteria has been opened up a bit more just wondering if maybe now you could get into the program in MB?  Not sure about how the appeal board works.
