Loosing weight so slow!

So in mid December I had stalled for 3 weeks, then lost 2.5lbs.  Well in the last 3 weeks I've only lost 2 lbs.  I'll be 6 months post-op on Feb 2.  Is this normal?  I feel like I'm loosing so slowly.  I have started to increase my working out, someone today told me that can actually slow down your weight loss?  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do as to increase the weight loss.  I'm feeling really discouraged.

Here are some typical reasons you might be having slow weight loss . I'm guilty of a few of them .
1) poor preparation
2) not drinking enough water
3) not drinking enough water
4) consuming too many liquid calories
5 ) not getting enough sleep
6) skipping breakfast
7) shopping the centre aisles
8)not tracking your food
9)not lifting weights
10) giving up

For us wls patients I would also add drinking with meals, too many " slider foods" and grazing.

Yup, Rainyone has some good points. But... also don't forget that you may not be losing weight but the inches may be shrinking. Even if you can't see them disappear yet! Sometimes it's one or the other. Another thing that people also mention as being a reason for a stall.... not enough protein each day. And SALT!!!

As long as your daily calories are under what you exert, you **will** lose weight. But sometimes the body is just plain stubborn. And yes, sometimes if you're working out (and especially weights) your body may be slowly transforming - you may be losing fat but gaining muscle so the numbers on the scale may not go down as quickly as you'd like, but you may notice your body shape starts to change.

Hang in there! You're doing great so far!!!  :)

i find i stay the same weight or around it for a couple weeks then i have a generous drop but the 5 month mark was my slowest month i felt like i didnt lose a thing and now just being out over 6 months my weightloss is a bit more steady...so weird how our bodies react and its disappointing not to see the scale move but even more crazy how much our bodies are changing!! YOU WILL get past this and then start losing again:)

I too saw a big slow down at the 6 month mark.  I am not freaking about it but am watching it closely.  I am only losing about couple of lbs in a couple of weeks now.  I seem to bounce up and down by a couple of pounds.  That being said it was the holidays and I was doing a fair bit of grazing and of course some goodies here and there.  I find eating out is a big factor for me.  On the weeks when I am doing a lot of restaurant meals I tend to go up a couple of pounds and I am sure it's the salt and fat.

I have been dealing with salt cravings and I know I am needing to drink more to combat this but it is hard.  Now that the new year is here I need to kick up my exercise to full speed again....I have gotten lazy!  So you're not alone, I think everyone loses a bit differently but there are similarities.  Be patient and keep at it.
