Meet and Greet at Library Feb. 21st
Everyone is welcome, there is now men in the Manitoba program. Lots of times spouses like to attend to find out more about the surgeries and calm their fears. My husband came to a meeting and so did some others. For people that are going to Mexico for surgery, It is good for their spouses or family members to meet others who have gone and for the person having the surgery too. There is large bathrooms across the hall from the meeting room for changing clothes. You will want to take some clothes that are too small to shrink in to.(because you will) lol. Please bring your son Karen, there shouldn't be any issues. Also if anyone has good receipies, make some copies - we might have a receipie exchange too. Barb
PLEASE COME the more the better. Pre surgery, post surgery, anyone interested in weight loss options. We are just a bunch of folks who talk about loosing weight and protein drinks, some surgery stories, wait times, different types of surgeries. Barb
I was so excited about coming to February's meet and greet and so thrilled that I could bring my son with me but I won't be able to attend for a very exciting reason. My son Dwayne is receiving a Yes I Can Award at the Manitoba Council For Exceptional Children conference. He is being recognized for his volunteer work at our city library. He goes to braille audio books for patrons. I am so proud of him. This is the child that the "experts" felt would be better off in an institution! How I would like to invite them to see him now..
So I am hoping to come to the March meet and greet!

I sure hope we get lots of people out to this one. It is great to meet new people. We need to get the newbies and lurkers out to some meet and greets also I am sure there are people who have had there surgeries years ago that are done their weight loss that would be awesome to have come and share their knowledge. Some people bring snacks to share (usually healthy snacks) and there will be coffee available.
