How do I change my avatar?

VSG on 06/04/12

I have deleted my avatar and uploaded a new one and it shows the new one. Then a few minutes later the old one comes back and replaces the new one. I have tried several times and every time the old one comes back after a few minutes. I have even deleted the old one. Closed out the website then reopened it and uploaded the new one, but no joy, the old one comes back again. HELP!!!!

This isn't going to be any help, but I had the same problem! It finally "stuck" but I don't know what I finally did to make it work. It was very frustrating.
