Milk of Magnesia

Hey all, just wondering if anyone that has taken MOM knows if it gives you the runs, or of it just does a one time "cleanse", if you will. Any help would be appreciated.

The first time I took it i had to make serveral trips to the bathroom with the runs,  now when I take it i still get the runs but I only have to go once or twice, for me it is much better than the alternative!  I do  not  get crampy or anything though.

Does it work immediately? Or does it take a while for it to start taking effect?

i was impacted after surg, it was hell! i spent 4 days in the bathroom, 2 hours at a time, sweating shaking and crying. try not to get to that point. on day 3 i started taking mom, by the 4th day in the afternoon i finally got relief, but it wasnt pretty, lets just say i needed a shower after, threw out my underwear, and had to clean the bathroom, but it was beautiful!! lol, sweet relief!

Another quick query, on the back of my mom bottle it says that I need to drink a full glass of water after I drink the mom. Obviously I can't drink a full glass of water, right after I drink the mom. Does that pose an issue?
