I had my surgery about a week and a half ago, and I am backed up, when it comes to... You know, number 2. I have been walking my half hour everyday, I have been putting benefiber in my food, I have been taking stool softners, and I have been drinking diluted prune juice! Has anyone else had this issue?! I neednhelp! I had the RNY

I have had nothing but problems with this !  The nurse told me to start taking Milk of Magnesia and that helps me a lot!  It is my new best friend although I don't want to become dependent on it.  Some people on here use Smooth Moves tea, I tried it and it does not help me that much, but I think further down the road it would.  The milk of Magnesia got everything moving quickly and painless!

Thanks for the help! I just spoke to Twyla, and she said the same thing. She told me to maybe take 2 stool softners a day and up the benefibre to 2 scoops 3 times a day. I'll try that for the next few days, and if that doesn't work, than I will be buying the milk of magnesia!

I wouldn't wait for a few days. The longer you leave it, the worse it will get.

Does MOM give you the runs? Or does it do it with one swift movement?

I used the Smooth Move tea, one in the evening for 2 nights and after that everything has been good.

I've been through everything for constipation. What works for me the best is pear juice. ( I get it at sobey's but safeway has ceres pear juice as well)  and senna.  The pear nectar works better than prune juice for me and is tastier too!

I use smooth tea, but I let the bag steep for about 15 mins and man that gets things moving the next day. I had tried suppositories, pear juice, prunes, senna and nothing worked. Good luck!

Dr. Sauceda future patient  - body will be by Sauceda!

Surgery 4 Jun 12 Dr Ponce de Leon in Mexico I was down 57 lbs prior to surgery.
