Gave up my spot..maybe it can be yours?

So, I received a call from the Vic as I guess my turn had come up to start the process..almost a year from the referral. Because I went to Mexico in May for this surgery I was able to forgo the Manitoba program so that moves everyone else up and hopefully thats YOU!! lol

Just a little update..6 months out I have lost 63 pounds. The past month has been very slow and I am not blaming anythingI..just the reality of my new life. Switched jobs, stopped my walking outside because of the ice and cold, and have found ways to "eat around my sleeve". These are not good things right now but I am aware of them and am working on getting things straightened out.

Dense protein is filling and restrictive but treats and snack foods are slider foods and I have very little restriction with those (although I guess I still can't eat the volume of these foods like before so thats something) But its still up to me to make the best choices and now that I am in my new job and making better food choices I hope to hold steady until after Christmas then concentrate on losing the 30-40 Id like to lose. Not going to stress this month about little treats here and there..it will happen when I get back to my true plan.

I am wearing a very loose size 16 jeans and finding it hard to find any that fit well. I dont know if its how my body is changing from the loss of that fat or not toned enough but this is something I definitely thought would never happen! ( wearing a size 22-24 from Penningtons before surgery)

Still feeling ecstatic with my decision and am so thankful to be where I am today. This will be the first Christmas in 17 years that I will not cringe when the cameras start flashing.I will get something fabulous to wear for the few special days we have planned, and wont have to wake up the next day feeling ashamed of my food choices and vowing to make that day even better (even though it wouldnt be with all the yummy food around) and on and on until the New Year. It definitely wont be that way this year! Yipee!

Thanks to all of you who went before me, even if it was just one day (justmest) who gave me so much insight and support. Sharing with others really makes this easier!
