For those of you who are on blood pressure medication, how long did it take after the procedure to stop taking the pills?

Getting off those blood pressure pills I cannot wait for!

For me, I was really aware how my blood pressure meds were affecting me.  Everytime I lost weight in the past (even 30 lbs) my Dr. would lessen my dosage, so after the liquid diet and sudden weight loss, I really noticed low blood pressure symptoms (mostly dizziness on getting up to fast) so I started taking them every second day ...... this was about 5 or 6 days out.  I had my 2 week check with my local Dr., told him that the days that I took my BP meds, I ended up with dizzy spells and feeling "deflated" - like someone let the air out of me - weird feeling for sure.  He took my BP and it was a little on the low side and this was after a took on of my BP pills.  He suggested I cut my pills in half (to use up my script cuz that stuff ain't free) and take that every morning.

Now that only makes sense, I was getting too much every second day, causing my BP to plumet - duh! I am seeing him again and hopefully we will lower that even more until I am completely weaned off cuz we all know you can't quit that stuff cold turkey.
