Well it is a 5 hour appointment, 6 months after the group seminar.  It wasn't specified to me what exactly was going on, just not to wear a skirt because I will be shown exercises.

Wow, they changed things a lot since I had my orientation and visit with the surgeon. My visit with the surgeon was about 15 minutes. She asked a few questions ( what was your highest weight, why do you want it and if I had a preference as to what surgery to have, and she said what options I had into which surgery I could have. She did a quick height, weight and look at my stomach and that was about it. and she may have sent me for bloodwork??

If you have aditional stuff now pre- surgery, that is actually better as you will be better prepared for once younhave the surgery. Go to any classes they may have pre-surgery..trust me, Otherwise you will have tons of questions and needing answers! Good luck

Sounds to me like you're getting everything done that day... Surgeon, Nutritionist, Psychologist and Kinesiologist...even that has changed since I saw the surgeon Sept. 26th!!!

I wonder if you'll be given a surgery date shortly after then...I was given 5 days notice to start the 2 week pre-op Boost diet, which thank god is over on Monday..surgery this Tuesday...wooot!!!

Good luck.....sooo worth the 5hrs!!!

WOW!  I might get a date sooner than later hey?

For those of you who have had the procedure, like lets say 5 months after, can  you drink a full glass of water at a time? I love drinking water, i can drink liters at a time, but I doubt I will be able to do this after the procedure?

Hi

I'm 9 months out from VSG. I have never slugged back a full glass or bottle of water at once even before surgery, but I can drink several mouthfuls at a time now. Your stomach will tell you when you've had enough at one time! You definitely won't have to take small sips forever, though.
