I'm a bit confused. My ref was Nov/11. At that time Andrea told me the wait was about a year. Well. 11 months later, nit a peep. I was accepted. But by looking at the recent posts,my process should've started already. I haven't called to inquire, because on the answering machine it says they wont call back if its about the wait list
What should I do? Maybe I was forgotten? Can someone please give me Andrea's number? I've misplaced it. Thanks.

Congrats on your up coming surgery!!!!

Hey TJLJ

My friend also had her referral last Nov./11 and she has not heard anything either.  She has called the clinic and said she would most likely have her group session in Nov.   Don't bother calling Andrea she won't call you back,  you can try the clinic at  the Vic but she won't give you much infomation either but maybe she can tell you something  204-477-3540.

I also received my acceptance letter in November 2011 and haven't heard anything.  I called Andrea the other day, she said she no longer deals with the lists and to contact Amera at the Vic, I left a message but haven't heard anything yet.    When I talked to Andrea months ago she said that people go on the list based on their acceptance letters and that there is no way for people to jump ahead unless the people in front no longer qualify for any reason.  Not sure if this has changed or not.  But it is surprising to see that people who were accepted only a month or two before us have already had or have their surgeries booked and we haven't even had the orientation.  Hopefully she gets back to me, if she does I'll given an update.

I talked to them and found out that there was a hold put on everything while they did the move to the victoria hospital so anyone not already in the process was just left waiting.  They've started things up again so should start moving.   She also said that they have now opened it up to men so they are being worked in as well which lengthens the list.
