Got a surgery date!

Hi All,

So I don't post much on this site but I do check it out often to see what is going on.  I talked to Andrea today and my surgery date is Nov. 7th!  Anyone else going around that time?  Anyways I am crazy excited and scared to death!

Congrats!  It's almost time to start your Optifast, yeeeee haw! 

No more Optifast!  It is now Boost, although I'm not sure if one tastes better than the other!
 

Congratulations.  You should come to one of our meet and greets at the library or one of the ones at the vic., you can meet people who had their surgeries through the Manitoba program.  There is one on Oct. 30th

Congrats.....wait....no Optifast?? We have to have Boost for 14 days?? Inquiring minds want to know, LOL !!!

I see the '2' on the 24th and have been told I'll be going for surgery sometime in November.....

No more optifast just the boost for 14 days!  You can add coffee or crystal light to make it taste better and blend them with ice. i'm sure its not much better than the optifast just easier cause you can just buy a couple cases at a time.

Congratulations, that's great news. Hope you can make it to the meet and greet. I got to two just before my surgery and it really helped me handle my fears by talking to those who had been through it. See ya on the losers bench!

What's the "2" and lucky you on the boost!  I hope it is less $$ than the Optifast, or is it some specialized kind of Boost?  or just the kind you get at Walmart, that would be so much easier than ordering it from Ontario for sure, and you could just pick up as much as you need for a couple of days.  Can you have any veggies or anything like that?  When it was a Medifast pre op, the patients were allowed 2 cups of veg a day - sounds like heaven right now! lol

Just the boost you get from walmart! Can't have any veggies, just 5 boosts a day!
