Hi everyone!  It's been a while since I've been on the site...adjusting to the new lifestyle and crazy busy at work!!

I hit 199 lbs yesterday and can't be any happier!  My reward...shopping for new clothes that fit (and shoes!).  I'm getting a ton of compliments and feel so much more confident already!  People ask if I regret it...I answer that although some days its hard...the benefits already outweigh everything else.  I don't crave chips, chocolate or any other thing I used to eat (I sometimes miss diet coke...)

A couple questions for the vets:

1- Is it normal to still have low energy on most days?
2- Some days I don't feel like eating anything and other days it's ok...is that normal?
3- How do you get all your food in?  Can you give me an example of what you would eat in a day?

Thank you very much to everyone on this site, your insights are very helpful.  Even if I'm not posting all the time, I definitely read up all the time.

Thanks again!

Congratulations! Way to go!!

I had lots of low energy days up to three months, now I have some days that are like that and I am just over 4 months out.  I still do not get all my food in, most days I can get in around 2 to 3 oz at one time.  I had the VSG done. This week I am having a hard time getting food down; but I know it will pass and then I will be back at my 800 to 1000 calories a day.

My typical day is:

1 Biox Protein Shake two scoops 240 calories 60 grms of protein
1 armstrong real cheese stick 80 calories
salad with a tablespoon of dried cranberries
1 oz of feta and 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegarette dressing
1 tablespoon of walnut pieces about 200 calories
1 oz of meat
a couple of green beans
1/2 cup raspberries/blueberries/strawberries

I eat that over six meals.

Keep up the great work and again congratulations
