My results
I had a CT last week for a lump in my neck... I mentioned it at the last meet and greet ....
Turns out it is a necrotic lymph node. I need to go for a biopsy and see a head and neck surgeon.
If I wasn't getting my blood work I wouldn't have found my calcuim being low, and my parathyroid being off. I wouldn't have noticed this lump for longer I'm sure... I have no idea how long it was there in the first place. The only reason I was feeling my neck was because of the weird parathyroid results. So oddly I'm really glad that the surgery has made me more aware of what is going on in my body.
I'm trying to look at the positive and not freak out until I get more information.
It's been a crappy day today. My older brother who is 45 had a heart attack today and is waiting to have a balloon pump put in to assist his heart pumping and then a bypass soon.

Its good you are finding all this out so you can work on getting better. I hope your biopsy turns out well. Will do some praying for you and your brother. Lets hope tomorrow is a better day for you. Barb
I know it's easier said than done, but try to relax. 2 months ago I received a call about my parathyroid levels being abnormal. Of course I then head to the computer to find out all these awful things. I got refered to a specialist and they believe i just need to increase my vitamin b3. I've been doing that but dont see any difference. I go for more bloodwork in a couple of weeks. Supposedly alot of people get diagnosed with parathyroid after our surgery and even though the levels are too high its because of the surgery and nothing else. Hmmm go figure?!

Hey Michelle
Hope everything goes well for for you and your brother.
On the bright side, your brother is still here to HAVE some type of intervention. :)

Aw Michelle, that IS a crappy day, however, without your weight loss, you may not have found that lump (trying to look on the bright side). .I read a quote somewhere that really was an "ah ha" moment for me..it was.."Worrying won't change the outcome" and I thought to myself..that is so true..what wil be will be.
Hope your brother gets the medical attention he needs and is on hiw way to a healthy recovery.
