Ahhhh! Grannys episode of as the stomach turns has begun. lol Congrats granny. Can't help you with the optifast I didn't use them. I mostly lived on broth, yogurt, jello and campbells tomato soup. It will all be overwith before you know it. Start planning your rewards for weight loss goals. Again congrats. Barb
Congrats NGD. For me it was just a mind thing in the beginning and as Sondra said it does get easier. I tried to keep busy and that helped keep my mind off food. What I liked best was coffee, sf caramel flavouring and lots of ice in the chocolate. With the vanilla I liked adding either vanilla or sf raspberry flavouring, I didn't care for adding the crystal lite. I enjoyed not having to make food choices it was either choco mocha or vanilla. SF gum helped too with the chewing motion it calmed some of the head hunger.
Two weeks will be over before you know it. I had the cleanest house ever during that two weeks which was great when I came home, I didn't mind resting and wasn't worrying about the house.

Best of luck to you! I don't envy you not being able to eat anything. (My surgeon allowed unlimited green vegetables and a meal at supper time with 4 oz of chicken or fish for the two weeks and protein shakes only for just the last two days. So much more "humane"!)
Some of these ideas sound quite yummy.
There's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, you just have to make it through a few more "rainy days" to get to it!! :)

WHOOOHOOO! I'm super excited for you too! I think all the suggestions were good ones. I didn't use optifast because of an allergy. The first few days are tiresome yes, but after that, I just got used to things. I did eat about 1 can of tuna per WEEK I was on liquid. I ate about 2-3 bites a day while I made supper for the fambam. I also drank LOTS of crystal light in between "meals" ha ha! pfft! It really went as well as I thought it would. It was SOOOOO worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The mild discomfort of the liquid diet is nothing in the face of the benefits of my health now!
You go Granny!!
You go Granny!!
I wish you all the luck in the world..I tried one of those shakes and thought I was going to bring up any sips I managed to get down. Now I didnt mix it with anything and I think thats part of the success with them..mask the flavour! But before you know it, you will be reaping the benefits of having survived them, lol!
