I ordered Beneprotein from the hopital Dietary Dept. for $13.00 for a 227gram tin.  In a 7gram scoop there is 6 grams of protein.  (almost 100%).  I use it in my morning coffee. I am pretty sure it is cheaper than any store.  It is unflavoured you can use it in soups etc.

The Selkirk Hospital has a dietition. In my last appointment with her she told me I could order it from the cafeteria (manager).  I called and ordered 10 cans.  You could try some of the Winnipeg hospitals.  I can bring you some to the next meet and greet at the on Oct. 30.  The hospital had 10 cans for me the next day.

that's excellent!  I wonder if "the program" at the vic could offer the same?  I'm going to check with my hospital up north as well.  Great tip!

Hi, I passed along info to a friend who owns all the Popeyes in Winnipeg.  He replied this way:

to put this product into perspective they are paying $13.00 for a ¼ pound and the serving is 7 grams and 6 grams of protein which equals 24 calories coming from protein, assuming the other gram is 1 carb you have 28 calories per serving which is a very small amount but maybe that is what they are being told to take.

We offer a 2lb Isolate for $39.99 to $44.99.  with the above you have to buy 4 units to be equilalent to one 2lb container and you spend $52.00.  If they would like, we also offer the isolates in 5.5lb & 6lb for $99.99 currently and 6.6lb for $99.99 and their cost per serving goes way down.

My above solution would be a more than suitable replacement and we have the sampling area and different sizes to offer.
