Nauseated to the MAX

I have been nauseated for the last week and a half.  I thought maybe I had a stomach bug and then realized I had just started my birth control pills.
The weird thing is I have taken these pills twice before over the last 10 years and I have never had this reaction.  Wondering if the weight I've lost has balanced out my hormones, thus making the pill feel stronger to me??

The other thing I was wondering is can you develop nausea 7 weeks post-op when you haven't had any yet, could this be surgery related??  I think not, but was just a thought.

Anyway I had to complain as I'm at my wits end with feeling this way.  The last 3 days have been really hard as I'm finding it very hard to get in my food, especially the protein.  Any pouch friendly food suggestions that are good for nausea are welcome.

Well thats all for now....I have to go hang my head in the toilet...

Yikes that sounds awful.  I find crab legs easy on the stomach and very high in protein.  You are probably sick of yogurt by now, but that should be easy to keep down.  Have you tried tea?  My mom used to give me flat 7-up when I was sick.  The sugar in the 7-up might be too much for you and cause the dumping syndrome thing, but if you are stayin home I would give that a try.

You might not be far off on guessing the pill. I have just been put on the pill to try get things under control. Dr Vergis was saying that I might be having problems with my cycle b/c of the weight loss and a low dose pill might help. It might worth your while to talk to your dr

I bet it's the dosage. I hd to take the lowest dosage. Tri cyclen-lo is what I took, I took it for over a year and had no trouble. Evened out my moods too. I hope you feel better quickly! I hate being nauseous

Try ginger tea?

I was nauseous for a few weeks after surgery. Time relased Gravol helped. However, I would go see your gp as something else is likely going on.

Well I spoke with the bariatric nurse today and they think it is most likely the pill.  I'm told to take it after eating dinner on a full stomach.  If the nausea doesn't subside in the next week or two, I'll have to try a lower dose pill.

At least it's not surgery related:)
