Has anybody tried Miracle Noodles? I've been scrolling through a bunch of different sites and came across these on Low Carb Canada ($2.39 a package, but shipping is extra). They have them at Scoop & Save on Portage Ave. for $2.99/package.

I'm not a big pasta fan, but do like noodles for a stir fry. I'm curious to know if anyone has tried them and if they actually taste anything close to regular pasta. They don't have any protein, but they also don't have any calories.

Apparently they've been reported on major news networks over the last couple of years, but I'd never heard of them before.

Diane we bought tofu noodles ( I think the same thing) at Organza for about $3.49although they are 40 calories for the whole pack. They smelled awful even after I rinsed them but they tasted okay with pasta sauce. My son said they were very good and he is the reason we bought them as he can only have about 10g of carbs a day but  the dietician also menitoned the miracle noodles as a great choice as well.
I found the labe they are called Tofu Shirataki and they came in spaghetti and linguine shape. Each package contains 2 servings.

Thanks Karen! It sounds like they are at least worth a try then.  I'm glad your son likes them. It's sometimes hard to find things kids will eat and it has to be even more difficult if there are dietary restrictions to deal with.

I'll probably have to try to keep my husband far away while I'm getting them ready! He has diabetes they'd be a better choice than regular pasta if I can get him to try them!

They also carry them at superstore. I've heard they are super  fishy smelling and although I have a pack in my cupboard I'm afraid to try them lol.  They were dirt cheap at superstore ( like a buck for the small pack)

Good to know! I just paid $2.99 at Scoop & Save. I'll let everyone know what I think after we (or probably just me!) try them.

Hi Michelle

Not yet. The plan is to make a stir fry for supper tonight (Friday) and I will try them with that. Will let you know what I think!

I know with the Shirataki Tofu noodles they are kept in the fridge and you are supposed to rinse them before using. They did have a fishy smell but once I put spaghetti sauce on them for my son \i couldn't really smell it.
We were at 2 Farm Kids in Brandon yesterday and found them in macaroni shape. Going to try making a pasta salad with them for my son.
