Thanks Sondra....what ice cream can we have? I will check out the websites...hadn't done that yet.
Question: So far, I'm having cup-a-soups, water, strawberry boost (which I can't stand already) and sugar-free jello....I don't know if it's enough? Seems like I get next to zero calories...does it make sense for the 1st week? I've been worried about dehydration...so I try to get atleast between 4 and 8 oz an hour....
When do you think I would be able to drink a protein shake from Booster Juice or stuff like Click (I ordered the Mocha one)?

Be careful with the Booster Juice. I thought I was doing a good thing by treating myself to one of their smoothies. I came home and did some research and found that although high in protein, they're also very high in calories and carbs. I've decided to stay away from them.
Hey Rosebutt,
I had my surgery on the 2nd and Im pretty much taking what you are having...broth, boost & water. I added up all my fluids yesterday and today and I'm averaging 30-35 oz per day. I find myself also sleeping frequently throughout the day which decreased the time spent sipping on fluids. I spoke with the nurse from the bariatric clinic today and she said that was fine as long as it continues to slowly increase each day.
In the dietician booklet they say they want our fluids up to I think mid 80-90oz per day. Some people take the entire 2 weeks to get up to this amount.
As long as your passing your water frequently and it's not too dark( which is a sign of dehydration) I think your good.
Good luck:)
