Lots of questions!!!

Ok so I have some questions for all you experts who've gone thru this already.

-Is it normal to feel so tired.  Today is post-op day3 and all I want to do is sleep.  I'm
worried I'm not getting enough fluids cause I'm sleeping so much?

-When did you all have your first shower? I know I asked the Dr about this but I was out of it and can't remember when he said it was ok to do so.

How much were you drinking per hour on day 3...I can take about 90mls per hour now.  But I find I can't do it every hour I'm awake.  I'll have about 90 and then feel like I have to give my pouch a rest for the next hour.

Also did you guys crush your T3's or swallow them by halfs.  They are nasty crushed but I can take them in halfs.  Will doing this hurt my new pouch?  It doesn't seem to hurt when I take them in half form.

Thanks so much for all of your support!  Hoping tomorrow I'll feel like I have more energy!

I was very tired for several days after getting home and napped constantly.  I don't think I made the bed for two weeks,  no point.  LOL. I tried to drink as much as I could between naps and sometimes I did better than others.  I didn't do protein shake until about a week or two post surgery as I was sick of them and broth was tasting so much better.  I used the beneprotein mixed into cold soup before heating and  in jello and pudding the first while.  T3's don't agree with me so I had another pill and it was vile when crushed but I managed to get them down that way for the first couple days then just split them. I was told I could shower anytime after going home just don't stand facing the water as the steri pads should stay on for about a week.

Dang, I was tired for more than a month.  Your body is now getting very few calories so it is a real adjustment period.  I started taking showers right in the hospital.  You need to keep your incisions clean.  I found it easiest to blow dry them when I got out to keep then well.... dry, lol.
