my little adventure
RNY on 06/05/12
well, a month before my rny i was diagnosed with gall stones. i had a couple of nasty nasty attacks. so i attempted to get it removed during my rny, but was told it was way to complex and just adds undo risk to the surgery. ok... well since my rny which was june 5th, ive had a couple more attacks, one really bad one this past saturday. which landed me in st b emerg. well they admitted me as the pain did not subside, even with morphine. by sunday night i was on the slate for emerg surgery, which i guess they reassess daily, i was allowed not even a sip of water from sat night until tuesday evening when they finally took it out.i was actually in tears a couple of times i got so thirsty, i was pathetic! lol. but when i had brown pee they realized i wasnt getting enough iv fluids and maybe that was the problem. to keep me from getting bored i had 2 ultrasounds and an mri and a transfusion of plasma. ( kind weird thinking i have someone elses blood in my veins now, lol) the morning after surg the surgical team came around and told me my gallbladder was one of the worst theyd seen. it was necrotic, gangerous, pus everywhere, very diseased. creepy! another little hicup ive had was 2 weeks ago i was taken to emerg because i was vomiting and dehydrated and severe lower abdominal pain. turns out i also have an uterine infection, caused by the insertion of my iud just before my rny. shee****hose things are supposed to last 5 years i had mine for 6 weeks! and they aint cheap!! , oh well, i guess its time to talk about the ol' snip snip with my hubby, lmao, poor guy....
ok, theres my rant! thanks for letting me share.
