pretty food!

Anyone else find food looks so much better in smaller portions. I have little square appetizer plates I bought so my food would fill up the plate nicer...  But I often use the regular plates we have as well.

Tonight we had meat balls in a sweet thai chili sauce over rice . Seriously to me it looked very artsy ... 4 meatballs and 2 spoons of rice . I wanted to drizzle some of the red sauce on the plate in a neat design .... lol... The rest of the family's food didn't look nearly as nice lol.

it's so funny how when you can't have the volume you enjoy different aspects of the food....  feeding my eyes I guess,

 LOL isn't that what makes haute cuisine so fashionable?  Small portions artfully displayed on small fancy plates?  Bariatric haute cuisine a la Rainyone!
