Hey Rainyone or anyone else???
Im asking for you Rainyone because you are about 6 or 7 weeks ahead of me and you are doing so freakin' amazing!!!! 67 lbs is fabulous!! Anyway, I am wondering what a typical day looks like for you food wise..I lost 36 pounds in 5 weeks (some quickly from my latest hospital stay) but after that, my weight hasnt budged in about 2 weeks. Im kinda wondering if I am doing all that I should and see if you can maybe see where I might not be doing so good..
I know the odd day my fluids might not be over 64 but I always choose protein first, and sometimes protein is all I have room for.. have a protein shake a day (30 grm) have not added bread, pasta, rice, salad..have just started fruit in the way of a few cherries, strawberries..take a one-a-day, B12, PPI, ..and we take our dogs for a walk everynight but its not very aerobic.
From what I have read, I think its the exercise I need to work on..what do you think? Thanks..

Hi Madeleine
I hit a "stall" every few weeks where I don't lose anything for at least a week, then it starts again. This has happened to me a few times since my surgery in February. From what I've read on here, I think that's normal.

HW 270 (Sept 2011); surgery weight 236 (Feb 6, 2012); current 167 (103 lb lost); goal set by nutritionist 148 (ha ha!!). Vertical sleeve gastrectomy at Obesity Control Center (Dr. Ariel Ortiz), Tijuana, MX. Self-pay, self-referral, 4-week wait. Abdominoplasty Aug 10, 2013 (Dr. K. Dolynchuk, Winnipeg - self-pay)
Who would have thunk I could lose this much in 3 months... it's just still so freaky.
I'm not the best example of what you should eat though... I tend to not eat as much during the day and I have lots of crap, lots of carbs some days.. I just have found what works for me. I tend to have days where I eat lots and days where I don't eat much at all. When I compare it to what I ate before OMG what a difference.
I usually have a protein drink in the morning on my way to work. I have been addicted to Click. So much easier to drink in the morning than a thick shake. I sometimes have a premier shake from costco. I love things that are easy.
I stop for coffee mid morning and tend to have coffee with splenda . Sometimes I'll have a couple slices of bacon or some yogurt or oatmeal . If I don't eat at coffee I usually grab something that I have in my car like nuts ( I love leaders on sutherland and get the 100 cal packs which are perfect) or some pumpkin seeds.
I usually work through lunch ( I know I am bad) but will eat something when I get home from work.
Dinner varies. Last night was 3 meatballs and about 1/8-1/4 cup of pasta with gravy. I ate 4 green beans lol... Lots of times it is just protein, like a hamburger patty. I really miss my veggies, but i find it tough to eat during a meal with the protein. I bought a yonanas machine and threw fruit in it and omg was it good! Felt like a real treat. I often have a snack at night. The last week I've been eating cucumbers, tszaki, and feta cheese on a plate. Hell twice this week I let myself have a pringles snack pack that was for the kids lunches. My thought is if I am going to have something like that- it better be full fat and worth it . If I have the reduced cal subsitute I will feel deprived- better have the real thing and enjoy it . I drink lots of crystal light and water. Sometimes it helps to shake things up a bit - it sounds like you are doing everything right . I've just started excersizing and oddly enough I am really loving it. I think being fat is a catch 22 ... it was so much harder excersizng before with all the weight - so much easier now. It is also more exciting to see the scale go down.
I'm on myfitnespal and there are a lot of people who have been sleeved who post their diets. rhearob is one. I know I tend to run between 600-1000 calories a day. aim for 70 grams of protein but some days I don't hit it.
I take a multivite and b12, probiotic, calcuim and vitamin d and my losec. I just got my blood work back and some things are off but I think it has more to do with my thyroid which was removed like 5 years ago. My blood calcuim is low and my parathyroid hormone is off, My vitamin d is low too. The calcuim is regulated by the parathyroid and the only time it was ever low was right after the surgery when the surgeon figured he nicked them ( right beside the thyroid) .... I need to repeat that and see what is going on... sigh

Rainyone, Im glad you posted your information as it gives me a lot of insight and now I see Im doing okay..just need to wait it out and get moving a bit more. OMG I hear you about the salads lol. I soooo want one . I used to eat ones the size of mixing bowls with vinegar and oil as the dressing. mmmmm.... I haven't had any issues with cucumbers , carrots and raw peppers. Cucumbers make a great surface for tuna salad instead of bread or crackers too. Did you ever try that click I sent you ? I'm such an addict lol
