Meeting area at the Vic

Okay, so I gave up trying to get ahold of Andrea and just called the main number for the Vic, and explained my needs to the Switchboard operator. She put me through to Human Resources to a lady named Jillian. Jillian forwarded my message to Amara who is involved in the Bariatric and Metabolic Clinic. She is supposed to call me back to enquire about what we will be needing and then see if there is a space we can use there. I should hear from her in a day or two. So when she calls I guess I should tell her we need tables and chairs for about 15-25 people (and clothes), we will need it at least once a month, and that it is an open group for all bariatric patients interested in coming, not just from the Winnipeg Program. I'll push for tea, coffee and water.

When I spoke with Jillian, she said that there is a space but that Amara would have to find out more about our group and our needs. It sounds good so far - Does anyone have anything else I should ask about? If it is available I am going to go ahead and book it for 6:30 till 10 on the evening of the 25th of July. I hope this works for people and I hope that I'm not coming across as too pushy and bossy (although I am) but I think if we have a neutral place at a set time, it might be easier for folks to get there.......

Let me know opinions of this.......

thats awesome.i have been trying but getting no where.if we could get glasses and cups possibly.what about a whiteboard???i really hope they do this for us.as far as im concerned its the least they could do because we are on our own basically after surgery,and preops can see first hand the successes and problems we have gone through
