I start my pre-op diet July 19 and I would like to know how much weight others have lost on their
pre-op shakes?
Thanks!!

I think I lost around 15 pounds but when I weighed in at the hospital for surgery they told me it was 20 pounds.  I must have lost 5 between my last office visit with the nut and the surgery.  It was a nice start.  Good luck and even though it can be tough it is worth while to stick to it and don't cheat.  It will be over before you know it.

I lost 22 pounds during the 2 weeks. The hospital scale is very generous though as it said I lost closer to 30 pounds. Don't worry. Some people lose more than others during this time.

 hey linz-loo,

i agree with the girls the scale at the hospital was a little friendly my scale at home the morning of surgery was -17 lbs. and at the hospital it said i was -24 so im not quite sure if my scale is out or what!! but i like the -24 the best

Well, I only lost about 8 pounds in the 2 weeks Optifast diet and I never cheated! But then again, I only have 50 pounds left to loose as I lost 40 pounds on my own since we had the orientation to surgery date. . And yes, there scale is definitely out by about 7 or 8 pounds. Weigh yourself at home before you leave and then when you get home so you know where you're at to start your post op loosing. I am still loosing very, very slowly (1-2 ounds a week) and is quite frustrating as I was loosing just as much on my own before I had surgery. I guess, the good thing this time is, I can't eat as much now, so won't put it back on YEAH! Good luck, Barb C

I only lost about 14 pounds on the liquid diet.  Mine was the ISOFlex.

But after the surgery, I gained weight according to the scale and it's been a almost a week since the surgery, I am back down to the weight I started with the morning of the surgery.
