OMG...I have a surgery date!!!!

So I got the phone call from Andrea...It was totally unexpected and blew my mind.  I finished all my pre-op appts in May and when I spoke with Andrea last time she said they were probably booking into Sept/ Oct.  So I had my summer planned out thinking fall would be my time for surgery.  Well...my surgery date is now AUGUST 2.  Holy Crap!!!!
I was so caught off gaurd I almost said, no sorry I'm going to the lake for a week over August long.

  Anyway, I have been a bag of nerves today and feel pretty sick to my stomach, not because I'm scared just I think I was caught so off gaurd.  My summer is going to be very different than what was planned.  We had booked 2 cottages up at West Hawk Lake for the second week of August, so I had to cancel those.  My hubby didn't mind as we received a full refund.  I have already received my shakes in the mail and they are sitting here right in front of me,  I start the pre-op diet July 19.

Anyway that is my news,   I'm so excited but jeez I feel like I wanna puke or something.  Hopefully these nerves settle. LOL 

OMG OMG OMG  .....  I am soooo excited for you!  It's been some time since anyone got a date locally.  So how long after your last appt. have you been waiting?  You must be sosooososoosooo excited!  I'm so excited for you....... but if you want ot go to the lake, I'll take your spot.... just sayin' ...... trying to be a friend...... LOL

Way to go Lindsay! I am so happy for you, I know it must have been hard working on that floor and watching others go through the process while you waited.  But see....all good things come to those who wait!  I had those same nerves when I got my date, but once it sunk in I was more excited that nervous.  You're already it preperation mode it seems and before you know it you will be enjoying those delicious protein shakes 4 times a day and the month will fly by.  Congrats and good luck.

Very exciting!!    I follow you by a few days, mine is on August 7th!

Thanks everyone for the kind words...you all have been such a inspiration & encouragement to me while I've been waiting.  My stomach is still in knots today.  Now i need to get prepared for post op. For all you on the loosers bench are there any must have items for after surgery that I should get now? 
Hopefully I'll see you all at the next M&G!
