Tomorrow is the day!

I leave Winnipeg on the 7:55 flight to Regina tonight.  My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 8:00am.  I am scared to death.  On top of that I am going alone.  I think I am losing my mind. :)

I have struggled with the post op diet but managed to get through it.  Now, today, since I can't have the protein drink, I am really having a hard time!  Plus, I must be dehydrated because (TMI!) the constipation is insane, something I have NEVER had in my 49 years on this earth!

Anyway, I am fairy new here but everyone has been helpful with my previous questions and I thank you all for that!

I'll post on the flip side of the surgery, as soon as I can get the laptop functional at the hospital!

Hello,
Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery.  Congrats on making such a big decision to have the surgery (wondering what type of surgery you opted for?).  It is never to late for the surgery, I too was 49 yrs old and went to Alberta for the surgery 4 yrs ago as Manitoba did not offer it here.

So remember to you look after yourself, you need to heal, get rest, drink.

Congratulations, I hope all goes well with surgery.  please keep us posted, and the constipation may be from being tense and stressed.  I would let the doctor know before surgery maybe they can help things along.  Good luck  -Barb
