Dietician Appt Tomorrow

So I've seen the psychologist and passed.  Yesterday I had my history & physical with my family
doctor and tomorrow I go and see the Dietician!!  Can't remember if I have to bring my food journals.
Can anyone fill me in on how long the apt is and what to expect and whether or not to bring my big
ol journal?

I brought mine but she didn't look at them. It was mostly going through the post op diet. How long on each stage etc...

She glanced at my journal, I think she just wanted to see if I had kept one or not.  She will order your optifast so be prepared to pay for that.  It's $159.00 plus shipping fees.  She preferred a credit card as it gets faxed to the company in Ontario and they deal with the payment. I also had to pay her by cheque.  The appt. took about an hour.  She will weigh you and set your goal weight.  Then goes through the booklet she is giving you with post of diet instructions.  Easy Peasy!

Hey Niki,
It went really well, the dietician went thru all the rules to the pre-op diet and the 4 stages of eating post-op.  I found the appt very thorough and she covered everything. I did find out that all my blood work was normal, even my random blood sugar and my H1C, which I totally thought they would say I'm borderline diabetic & I was happy to hear I would only be having to take 5 supplements, for some reason I had it in my head that I'd be taking like 10 pills a day.  She ordered my optifast shakes, so basically now I'm just waiting for my surgery date.  Yippee!!!!
