Well, my time has come to be a loser!

I fly to San Diego tomorrow, get picked up and taken to INT hospital in Tijuana for surgery bright and early on Tuesday morning! I had to do 3 days of yogurt and water for pre-op (with shakes done a few days ahead) and now Im packed and ready for my adventure to begin. My stomach does not like this yogurt and water fast and is really kicking up a fuss! It wants food! That will end on Tuesday. I am forever grateful that I have found a way to make this impossible dream become a reality.

My family keeps asking me if Im nervous and Im seriously not. I think I just want to get this going already..the packing and sorting of papers I need etc has helped to make the time fly faster and even watching them eat food has not bothered me.. although the smells of the bbq, ketchup on the plates and chocolate chip cookies laying around does make me stop in my tracks. But only for a second and Im reminded of what and why Im doing this. They did ask me if any of the food in the house would be a problem for me and I empahtically told them it wouldnt be as Im the one having this done, not them. I want them to still be able to enjoy what they know and love!

So tomorrow morning will be for pre-surgery pictures before the long drive to the airport. I will be seeing Justmest there also as we will have our procedure the same day! Really great having someone there that not only have I already met, but who understands what the heck we are doing!

Thanks to all you wonderful ladies who post your thoughts and advice as that has given me the courage to go through with this. I certainly hope to make it to a meet and great in the near future and put faces to names.You have all been a great help and support for me.
I will check in when all is said and done.

Justmest, I cant wait to see you too..have a safe flight and enjoy your day. I think you can do a little sightseeing and feel safe so just enjoy, and focus.

 Hello, good luck you two Madeline and justmest. Safe travels.  I get my DS surgery on June 14 then you will have to make room for me on the loosers bench.  

Congratulations to both of you!  Wow this has come quickly but you guys sound so ready for this change.  Remember to focus on the moment, it gets better and easier with each day.  I will keep you in my thoughts and know you will breeze through the procedures.  Enjoy the journey and I hope you have a safe and comfortable trip back home.
