Feeling restless

Had a pretty good day yesterday, got in lots of water and some protein.  Went for a walk outside had an afternoon nap.  But I was very restless overnight. Had a sore neck and dull headache and couldn't find a comfortable sleeping position.  Finally gave in and took another pain pill and finally fell back to sleep.  This morning I am finding it harder to drink but am forcing myself.  I can't tell if the feeling in my pouch is hunger or nausea, it's a weird feeling.  Incision spots are getting a bit itchy, so I guess they are healing.  Tried some baby food prunes yesterday since I haven't had a bm since before Tuesday and there has been no change so far.  I think I preferred being on the optifast as I knew exactly what and when to eat.  Kind of feel like I am winging it now.

Hang in there, from what I have heard it takes practice and you'll get there. It was so encouraging to go to the meet & greet and see all the ladies there and hear their stories.
I can't wait until next Tuesday when I am in recovery!
Hope you are feeling better!

Thanks Newfie 99999 I think I am expecting too much in such a short time.  I just thought I was starting to get a hang of it when it all started to feel so different today.  I have had more broth as it does feel good and have been trying water but it's still not great so I have been drinking tea and licking freezies.  I think I have taken in a good deal of fluids today dispite the problem with the water.  When should I be attempting the vitamins?  I haven't tried yet as I am having to crush the pain pills and they are hard to swallow with a tiny sip and if I take too big a sip it hurts.

Personally I wouldn't worry about the vitamins for the first week or two. I was taking my 2 tablet on day 3 and one is like a capsule filled with little beads so it wasn't something I could crush. I had a chewable multivite that I did take. But focus on fluids first, then protein. I found hot liquids like soup were easier to get down. I got sick of sweet from shakes and juices. broth felt wonderful

. For me , 2 weeks was a big difference in getting my fluids in  and my protein. I still struggle with protein some days. If I don't have a protein shake ( 35 grams ) for breakfast I can't get my goal . It works for me , since breakfast is hard for me , so much easier to grab a shake on the go and it seems by lunch my sleeve is more forgiving.

Itchy is good. They are healing. I doubt you are feeling hunger , but maybe acid or just the distruption of your whole digestion system.

Hmmm licorice tea sounds good.  I will have to look for some, have never heard of it.
I tried benefibre a couple of weeks ago and it didn't help much.  This time I tried some baby food prunes and that worked like a charm.
