Popeyes...lack of customer service.

So I went to Popeyes today to check out their protein powders and wowzer that place is overwhelming.  The guy in the shop was not helpful at all.  I told him I was having WLS and needed some guidance in what would work best, high protein, low sugar.  He looked at me like I had two heads.  Then procedded to chat on the phone and type on his computer rather than help me out...I was the only customer in the store BTW. 

Anyway I ended up walking out, maybe I'll go back with my hubby or if you guys have anywhere else you can suggest shopping or brands that are available here in the city.  Any help would be much appreciated.

WOW, what a tool. Which location?...rat 'em out! I used ISO Sensation 93, Vanilla bean ( I think) and plain old chocolate flavors in the beginning. I also tried syntrax, but it gave me WICKED heartburn. Now I use President's Choice($34.99) from Superstore. My tastebuds are picky picky picky.  I add some cinnamon or vanilla or cocoa to make them taste just perfect to me. I still drink protein every day and I am 18mos out. and I have been drinking the PC stuff for at least a yr. There was one yummy one I got from Costco that was vanilla bean..green and black label I think.

Honestly, it's hard to take someone elses word for the taste of these darn protein powders. Maybe at the next meet n greet ppl can swap powders wit ya...LOL

Sounds like a great plan! There are a bunch I bought that people raved about that I hated. I have a friend who raved about the kaizen one from costco ( believe it was vanilla ice cream ) but I hate buying a huge tub and thinking I might hate it.

I have had pretty good service from Popeye's polo. They will mix you a drink  there to try usually. It all depends on the cashier eh? I called them when I saw click on their web page and they were supposed to call back and didn't .... hit and miss.

I also found one at Superstore called Dyna Whey made by Nutrisciences..Its 135 calories for 1 36 gram scoop, fat 1g, carb 1 g protein 30 g..its a 1080 gram bag for 32.00 so Im not sure how that compares to the proce of the others..but the chocolate peanut butter is actually really good..no whey taste at all! I think it would be excellent frozen into ice cream. 

I have always gotten good customer service from the one by PoloPark. I always go week days before 5:00. There is a bald guy that works there that has always been very helpful.

I went to the Popeyes on Kenaston near McGillvary.  Maybe I'll try the Polo location.

I went in the other day to buy some shaker cups ( I like the 99 cent ones with lids) I find I mix my click up in them and if I forget to wash the same day I don't have to feel guilty tossing them when they get funky. And man can they get funky lol... especially when I use 1/2 milk lol..

I bought a bunch and was telling the guy how I found them the easiest and cheapest way to mix my shakes. He responded that it depends on what you are mixing. That they whey isolate is good, but if you are mixing the weight gain stuff for body building it doesn't work great. I laughed and said " I won't be using weight gain formulas lol " Anyway I told I use Click and wished I could get it here. He went to look it up. I told him seriously he would sell out big time if he sold it there in the store. I told him I just reordered 5 canisters and ordered 3 last month between my sister and I. I really wish they could get it here!!!
