They Canceled My Surgery

Thanks for your support.  This was a real blow because you get yourself pumped up and start counting down the days.then they say NO Go.  It takes the wind out of your sails  This is a real game changer.  I am going to call at the end of the week to see if they can give me another date.  This must be really hard on Andrea as she has to deliver the bad news and hear our hearts break on the phone.  When are they going to understand that they need more spots. 
I hope there will be a Meet & Greet in the near future as I would love to meet all of you.

I am so sorry to hear you surgery has been postponed. I hope they don't call and cancel mine. I just started my Optifast diet today and am scheduled for VSG on May 29th. I can't wait!..bc

I sure hope they don't call you either.  If you don't mind could you please keep in touch and let me know how things are going with the Opti fast and how you are doing.  You will be so happy on the 29th.  Take care and thank you for your support. 

I am doing better today.  I guess I just have to deal with this as one more hoop to jump through.  I am sure if you were going to be canceled they would have called you already.  i think it is just the June dates.  I hope you are doing well on your Optifast diet keep us up to date.  It is a good learning tool for all of us that are waiting for surgery.

 I'm so sorry robynjoy like we need to stress about one more issue! My date is June 26th and this leaves me worrysome keep your head held high and were here to support you! 

Yeah as if we need anymore stress,  with all the hoops we have to jump through it will be close to 2 3/4 years since my GP sent them a request letter.  This has been a long one.  But I guess I am going to wipe away my tears and press in.  I hope you get in on the 26th.  take care you deserve this. 

Thanks for your support.  I am not sure what they are doing.  I don't know if they are going to bump everyone back to fit in the people that were in before or if they are going to put us in later.  It is a waiting game now.  When thing like this happen it just seems to turn up the stress level.  It must be real frustrating for Andrea as she is the one that has to deal with everyone.  Her stress level must be high.  keep in touch so we know what is going on.  I hope you don't get bumped.  Take care   

Robyn, trying to look on the bright side, as soon as the rooms open up you will be one the first to go. I hope you don't have to wait too long but trust me, it will be worth the wait. Good luck

From what I have been reading on this site it is worth the wait as you said.  I am so thankful for everyone on this site as it has helped me get through this a lot easier.  When they say patients is a virtue I guess everyone here is virtuous.  Thanks for you encouragement..  Robynjoy 

When I talked to Andrea she said it was because of summer slow down - people on vacation - not enough people to look after everyone - I was told I may have to wait until November or December - now that is a wait

Keep your chin up - you will get your surgery and a new life - just think of all of the people that you are ahead of who are still waiting
