Cost of Psych Consult???
I guess I've been so excited about all the WLS appointments coming up it totally slipped my mind about paying for the Psych appt. My appt is today and just wondering how much and what methods of payment do they take. EEEEKKKKKKKK,,,, feel like I'm getting closer & closer to my new life.
Am I crazy for being excited to have someone decide if I'm crazy or not? LOL

The appointment went well. It still is 150$ and they take, cash, cheque, and also have a debit/credit card machine available. I ended up seeing Tevya Hunter who is a really nice woman who is working under Dr. Grosko. So unfortunately I have to wait a week to find out if I passed since she has to run all her notes by Dr. Grosko.
Basic questions were like how much do I know about the surgery, how did I hear about it. Have I told anyone-I guess to determine whether or not you'll have the moral support from others. Also how I think it will benefit me, what are the main reasons for doing the surgery. She was pleased to hear it was mainly for health reasons rather than me saying I'd just like to be a size 6, LOL .
Then other obvious questions like do you suffer from any diagnosed phsychological disorders, along with depression & anxiety. Have I ever been suicidal, have you been abused, ect, ect.
It took 45 minutes and was pretty painless, plus her office is super cute & cozy. All in all it was a good experience.

My understanding is that the barium is only for sleevers due to the higher incidence of reflux being a possible side effect. I guess they want to see if you have any problems with either the reflux or a hiatus hernia and if you do, then maybe RNY might be a better option.
OR they just want to torture us with thick chalky goo that turns your poop white......
