  Hi Trish,  your GP can also refer you to Dr. Carl Nohr in Medicine hat Alberta. I believe he does gastric bypasses not sure about other surgeries.  Manitoba health will cover surgery and travel costs.  I know someone who went there a few years back and she is doing well.  i was referred there and was told had to get down to 55 bmi and when that goal was reached, surgery would just be a few months.  i grew.  Now I am going to Mexico

The new clinic at the Vic is run by the same Doctors that work out of St. B.  I think eventually the clinic at the Vic will completely take over from the 400 Tache location.
